Paula Zapata - About Nelson Mandela
Winner of the Nobel
Peace Prize in 1993. Nelson Rolihlahla Mandela was born in South Africa in 1918.
He is also known in his country as Madiba or Tata. He is a symbol of the
struggle against racial discrimination, and due to this fight he spent more
than 27 years in prison serving a sentence (life imprisonment) which was finished
in 1990. His name is synonymous of peace and reconciliation in the world, after
his release he was elected president of his country, the first one to come to power
in a democratic election.
Mandela
was persecuted for his fight against racial discrimination which it was subjected his country during
Apartheid. This dictatorship based on racial
segregation was racial classification of citizens from their appearance, social
acceptance and offspring. After his release from prison in 1991 Apartheid
disappeared
During the 27 years he spent in
jail, his reputation and leadership grew despite the difficult conditions of their confinement. Additionally, he studied by
correspondence through an external program of the University of London,
obtaining the degree of Bachelor Laws. During his days of confinement allowed
him to receive one letter and one visit every six months. But Mandela spent
his hours studying with very little social contact and family.
Madela is an
undisputed symbol of human values. During his captivity developed peaceful
methods based on the ideas of Gandhi to end the state of terror against the
black population of their country: "When I left the prison that was my
mission: to liberate both the oppressed and the oppressor." In his speech
never appeared feelings of hate or resentment.
His rise to the presidency in 1994 marked a before and after in
the history of his country and the world. His term was marked by his tendency
to reconciliation and peaceful coexistence. After his government was demonstrated
that political activity can be a tool to improve the lives of people through
honesty, courage, inclusion, consistency and respect.
Today Nelson Mandela is in a difficult health situation
due to his advanced age and the consequences of their time in prison. However,
the entire world lives his legacy. His foundation actively promotes the values
of his work and has as one of its main causes fight against AIDS. Additionally,
the July 18 is celebrated in the world Nelson Mandela International Day, a day

Maritza Cañas Tony Melendez
NEVER SAY YOU CAN’T
I admire people with physical disabilities that with your effort, dedication and your high esteem overcome every obstacle that comes their and especially because every day they have more desire to continue living.
One of those people is Tony Melendez is a Nicaraguan American guitar player, composer, singer and songwriter who was born without arms.
Tony from child had to live with this disability and suffer the ridicule of his friends But despite all the difficulties, he wanted to be self-sufficient and with the help of his father who encouraged him began writing, playing with the toes.
Since childhood he likes the music and loved to see his father played guitar and he began practicing 7 hours per day until he learned to play the guitar with his feet.
He thought he never was going to marry because women were scared when they saw that he had not arms but now he has a woman who does not care about his disability and they adopted two children.
It was an unforgettable moment when, on September 15,1987, he played his guitar for pope John Paul II in Los Angeles.
“Never be the same” was an appropriate song, for those few moments changed Tony Melendez' life and brought his unrestrained abilities as a guitarist into national attention. It seems to be a fitting place for a man who has spent his life putting personal confidence above his handicap.
One thing I admire is that he feels a normal person because he has his feet and he can do everything for example driver a car, swim, play, open a door etc
he always is happy because he want live and because
god has given him a wonderful life this
makes me think that sometimes we don't
appreciate that we have and always we complain a lot.he always says that everyone can do what he believe
impossible just have to
trust yourself.

The hard work paid off as he averaged 25 points per game in his last two years and he was selected to the McDonald's All-American Team as a senior.
Following high school, he earned a basketball scholarship from North Carolina University. In his first year, he was named ACC Freshman of the Year. He would help lead the Tarheels to the 1982 NCAA Championship, making the game-winning shot.

My article is about the Wright brothers, Orville and Wilbur. They created the first airplane.
On December 17th, 1903, The Writght brothers made the first successful experiment.
The machine rose by its oun power carrying a man. It flewnaturally and at evenspeed; and descended whitout damage. This allowed others to perfect this great invention years later.
I love finding that great inventions were created from restless people that always want to give more.

I chose them, because they
developed their mechanical skills on a bike shop that they understood
the bicycle is an object that requires balance to be maneuvered, they were based on
this and constructed the first airplane.
I love finding that great inventions were created from restless people that always want to give more.
Today we can all take less time to go
somewhere than they could have ever imagined, something like a time
machine.
In addition to the magic that is feeling like
you can touch the sky and reach places that probably you would have never gone
before.
Today, travel in plane is safest and confortable that there is in the
world.
Martin Luther King Jr.
Human rights are important for the fact that
government can legislate and also create fairer legislative system which recognize the right for life, physical integrity and own image etc.
One of the things I always find amazing is the biography of historical Personalities Characters. In this opportunity I want to show
you, Martin Luther King JR who led and fought for the Rights of black people in the United Estates.
Martin Luther King was born in Atlanta on
January 15 in 1929.He first began to be well known in 1955 when he led a

removed in Montgomery and bus integration had been introduced. Another
achievement was in 1963 when a Civil Rights March took place in Washington. It was officially called the
March of Washington for JOB and FREEDOM.
